My August Happiness Project – Summer Break

My August Happiness Project – Summer Break

So, right off, I have to admit that I did not follow through with my resolution for August.  The plan was to focus on my relationship with my husband.  Unfortunately, that just didn’t happen.  We had several rounds of family visitors in August.  We have also been busy preparing for the new school year and trying to wrap up summer projects.  When it comes to nurturing my marriage, I really shouldn’t be making any excuses...  I don’t want to just say “oh well” and skip over my marriage related resolutions.  Of all of my happiness project themes, marriage is probably the most important.  So, I think I will just add an extra month to this Happiness Project experiment and try again.  I will wait to share all about what my relationship resolutions are at that later time.

Moving on to September, I am really excited to take on this month’s resolutions.  My theme is parenthood.  With my husband heading back to work (teacher), it will be just me and my boys all day again.  We are going to be dipping our toes into the world of homeschooling for the first time.  I know that if we are going to achieve success at this new venture than I am going to have to make a point to be present (not distracted by my phone…) AND to have more patience.  Wish me luck!  I will update everyone on how that goes in a month.  I am also planning to share more in separate posts about my plans to create an environmentally-friendly homeschool experience on a budget.
